Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Notography (“the app”, “we”, “our”) handles your information.

1. Data we collect

Notography does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app does not require an account, sign-in, or any form of registration.

2. Microphone access

Notography asks for microphone permission to detect the pitch of notes you sing or play. Audio is processed entirely on your device in real time. No audio is recorded, saved, transmitted, uploaded, or shared with any third party. The microphone is only active while you are using a feature that requires pitch detection (Tuner, Free, or Tempo mode).

3. Settings stored on your device

Your in-app preferences — including reference frequency, clef, time signature, minimum note duration, color choices, and language — are stored locally on your device. They never leave your device and are not associated with any identifier.

4. Network usage

Notography’s core functionality works fully offline. The app does, however, load a small analytics beacon from Cloudflare (see section 5). Aside from that, the app does not contact any server, backend, or advertising network.

5. Analytics

Notography uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service. It records anonymous, aggregated usage information such as page views, referrer, and browser/OS family. It does not use cookies, localStorage, fingerprinting, or any cross-site identifiers, and does not collect personal data. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.

6. Third-party services

Other than Cloudflare Web Analytics described above, Notography does not integrate any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or tracking technologies.

7. Children’s privacy

Notography does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. The aggregated analytics described in section 5 contains no personal data. The app is suitable for users of all ages.

8. Your rights

Because Notography does not collect or store personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this document will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through an app update.
